Speedy Hire operates one of the UK’s largest rental generator fleets, with around 2,000 units ranging from 20kVA to 1MVA, complemented by containerised and hybrid systems. Alongside this, Speedy offers the UK’s widest and most flexible Battery Storage Unit (BSU) platform, enabling tailored energy solutions for diverse project needs.
Services are designed around collaboration, ensuring the right solution is matched to each task, whether through automatic mains failure, synchronised setup, load on demand, timed running, or hybrid systems. Investments include a landmark £8m in JCB Stage V generators, significantly reducing emissions while delivering reliable performance.
Battery storage solutions provide major sustainability benefits, cutting fuel use and COâ‚‚ emissions, while enabling silent running, reduced load sizes, and full remote monitoring. Speedy pioneered this area, introducing BSUs to the UK market in 2015, with proven savings demonstrated on live projects.
The division continues to innovate, establishing a dedicated Energy Solutions desk to ensure national consistency and developing hydrogen-powered options in collaboration with partners such as AFC Energy.
