Our export team recently returned from a fantastic week in Cologne at FSB 2025 the International Trade Fair for Outdoor Recreation, Sports and Exercise Facilities. Over 28,000 trade visitors from more than 125 countries and more than 575 exhibitors from 44 nations filled the Cologne trade fair grounds. The exhibition offered a comprehensive overview of products and concepts from the fields of sports facilities, urban exercise areas, open space and playground design, play equipment, outdoor fitness, sports flooring, especially artificial turf and stadium infrastructure.

“FSB is the international gathering place for all those involved in providing opportunities for sport and active leisure – in every sense. Here, sustainability isn’t just discussed – it’s actually put into practice,” emphasised Klaus Meinel, Secretary General of IAKS (International Association for Sports and Recreation Facilities).

Ritelite Exhibits at FSB 2025

This was a fantastic platform for Ritelite to display our world leading K65 mobile sports lighting towers and Sports-LITE training lights. High calibre visitors attended from across a global spectrum including Benelux countries, Scandinavia, Italy, Spain, France, Eastern Europe, the USA, UAE, Africa, Israel and India. The Ritelite team met many different types of visitors including end users, councils and local authority representatives, current customers and dealers, and new potential dealers from across the world.

The show was a great success in terms of traffic to the stand and the quality of conversations that took place. The illumination performance and quality coupled with the ease and flexibility of deployment continues to surprise new potential users including our visitors at the FSB show. The show provided the perfect platform to engage with our customers and demonstrate how versatile and transformative Ritelite’s mobile sports lighting systems can be. Our visitors were able see completely new implementation solutions for sports lighting which were previously not possible.

A major highlight of the week was the launch of the Quad Pod K65 Sport+ offering all the performance of the K65 powered solely by batteries. This solution is game changing for sports floodlighting allowing teams and clubs to play anywhere, on any surface, purely on battery power with no fumes, no noise and no long cables. The compact DC battery packs can be easily charged at the clubhouse or taken off site for charging between sessions, opening up many outdoor spaces for sport without needing to worry about access to mains power on site or the safety issues associated with using petrol or diesel generators. The easy portability of the battery pack, combined with 3hrs 30m duration, really impressed visitors. The battery display showing accurate remaining operating time together with the dimming function were also well received, giving users the option to extend training sessions when needed with a slightly reduced light level to maximise battery life.

Alongside the K65 Sport+ launch, the team also received strong interest in the Sports-LITE, particularly from clubs looking for a lightweight, highly flexible lighting option for small-group training or multi-sport use. Many visitors were keen to explore how the product’s beam-controlled lensing provides bright, even illumination with minimal light spill- a key requirement for community facilities located close to residential areas. Its fast setup and cable-free operation were also frequently highlighted as major benefits for clubs with shared or remote training spaces, especially those relying on volunteers to set up equipment for training sessions quickly and safely.

Conversations at exhibitions like FSB are crucial in helping us understand our customers’ applications and identify specific pain points. These insights feed directly into our product design process, ensuring new developments continue to meet the needs of the international sports market. Our aim remains consistent: to deliver lighting solutions that enable more players to train and play for longer throughout the darker winter months, for any sport, on any playing surface.

We would like to thank everyone who visited us at FSB this year. We look forward to continuing those conversations in the days and months ahead.
