Integrated manual winch with automatic safety brake
The slack rope safety system automatically detects when the winch rope is not correctly tensioned and prevents the user from continuing to operate the winch in the mast lowering direction.
Automatic mast safety interlock system
Market leading, double pin safety locking system ensures that the mast is automatically and safely mechanically locked in all positions when raising the mast. This system also acts as a “dead man’s handle” for safe lowering of the mast.

Unique parallel mast design
Allows the mast sections to slide past each other and the light head assembly to be fully retracted and stowed at the base of the unit. The centre of gravity is very low with the weight perfectly balanced over the wheels for easy and safe handling even on difficult terrain.

Low centre of gravity for safe handling on site
Typical telescopic mast designs do not allow the light heads to be retracted below approx 2m height for transportation and positioning on site. This results in either having to remove the light heads or in a high centre of gravity making positioning and handling difficult and potentially unsafe, especially on uneven surfaces.

Typically each Quad Pod K65 lighting tower can be set up in under 5 minutes per unit with one person; no tools required.
The Quad Pod K65 can be supplied with either a 110V or 240V input plug enabling it to be flexibly powered by mains power, diesel generators or a Ritelite RITE-POWER battery powered generator. The Quad Pod K65 Sport+ offers a full DC lithium battery system enabling clubs and organisations to light any pitch or sports area from 100% battery power – perfect for sites with no power for silent, emission-free lighting.
The closed dimensions of the Quad Pod K65 mobile lighting tower is 1.09M x 0.83M x 1.95M (L x W x H). Compact enough to fit through a standard doorway, it can be moved easily by hand over almost any surface using its large, all-terrain wheels.
The 6.5 m Quad Pod K65 weighs 237 kg, evenly distributed across its wide rough-terrain wheels for easy, stable manoeuvring on grass, tarmac, or gravel.
Each Quad Pod K65 provides up to 266,000 lumens and can light a full size pitch to DIN EN 12193 standard for training or competition levels. Depending on level of play and training area different light levels are recommended.

For an 11 V 11 full size pitch we would recommend between 6 and 8 Quad Pod K65 mobile lighting towers, depending on the brightness level you wish to achieve. The Quad Pod K65 is safe to operate in wind speeds up to 30 mph (48 km/h) when correctly installed with stabilisers deployed.
No planning permission is normally required as the K65 is a temporary lighting tower. However the lights should always be positioned to avoid them shining directly toward roads or neighbouring properties.
Yes. The K65 operates on 100–240 V AC and is fully compatible with 110 V circuits. Please specify your preferred plug type when ordering to ensure site compatibility.
Beam control refers to Ritelite’s unique lighting design ensuring that all the light that our products produce is directed towards the required playing or work surface rather than being lost into the sky or surrounding area in the most efficient way possible. Beam Controlled lensing considerably reduces any light pollution from the light to the surrounding area, especially important in built up areas or near protected wildlife areas. The Quad Pod K65 Mobile lighting towers are designed to focus all the light onto the required surface through bespoke lensing and controlled efficiency. Yes. While fully mobile by design, most large-pitch installations use the K65 in a semi-permanent or seasonal setup, remaining in place throughout the training season.
This makes it an ideal alternative to permanent floodlighting where planning or infrastructure limits apply.
