Equipment Grants & Funding Available

There are a number of different funding streams and grants available for the purchase of equipment including lights for sporting activities that can be applied for to purchase Ritelite’s Quad Pod K65 Mobile lighting towers and Sports-LITE Portable Training Kits.

Sports Club Funding

  • There are hundreds of funding streams offered through Sport England for charities, education establishments, individuals, leisure operators, local authorities, profit making businesses and sports clubs.

  • Sport England’s Together Fund Is a continuation of the Tackling Inequalities Fund set up in 2020 to support the sport and physical activity sector through the Covid-19 crisis.  Find Out More

Football Foundation
  • Football Foundation grants of up-to £25,000 that does not exceed 75% of the total project costs
  • Funded by the Premier League, FA and Government (via Sport England)

England Rugby
  • The grant search facility allows you to search through thousands of grants and loans that could help your club
  • Funded by the RFU and Government (via Sport England)

England Hockey
  • Modernising a lighting system could be funding through England Hockey
  • Funded by the Active Partnerships and Government (via Sport England)

England Netball
  • Size of bids between £1,000 and £150,000 to improve existing sports facilities
  • Funded by England Netball and Government (via Sport England’s community asset fund)

Lawn Tennis
  • British Tennis funding is allocated on a 50:50 loan to grant ratio

  • Applicants are expected to pay for 25% of the project cost

The funding is awarded on a sliding scale:

Sport Scotland
  • The Sport Facilities Fund (SFF) supports capital projects that create or improve places where people take part in sport and physical activity.
  • Specific funds for floodlights that increase capacity at appropriate sports facilities

Sports Northern Ireland
  • Sport Northern Ireland has accounts a plan to invest £17.5m of its National Lottery funding into sports facility projects over the next five years

Scottish Rugby Logo
  • Scottish Rugby has confirmed a funding package of £6.5million to support community clubs in Scotland as the sport emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic

  • Funding of up to £5,000 available to grassroots clubs

  • National Lottery offer funding from £300 to £10,000 to support what matters to people and communities

Oakland Foudation

The Oakland Foundation supports projects in Worcestershire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire in supporting the needs of children through a range of educational and youth projects based on education, health, nutrition and sport.

Cymru Football Foundation
  • The Fit-For-Future Equipment Fund offers grants of up to £30k for projects up to 40K with target partnership funding of 20%
  • 2 application windows per year

Sport England’s Small grants programme have grants of up to £15,000 available for 2023 to provide sport and physical activities for people who may be less physically active.

Scottish FA

Community Football Spaces Fund.

In partnership with the UK Government, Scotland’s football clubs, local authorities, leisure trusts and key stakeholders, the Scottish FA will identify key football facilities across the Association’s 6 regions where there is an evidence-based need for investment that will maintain, sustain and attain facilities identified as critical in facilitating participation at local grassroots level.
