FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes there is a large car park for attendee parking

Yes tea, coffee and water will be available during the afternoon with a sweet treat or two! Hot pizza and soft drinks will be provided towards the end of the event. Gluten free and vegan dietary requirements will be catered for, if you have any specific requirements please let us know in advance.

All attendees will be required to wear steel toe capped footwear, Orange high-vis jackets as a minimum and hard hats will also be required to take a walk up the track to see rail lighting solutions in real world scenarios.

The tunnel tours are an opportunity to look at Ritelite LED rail lighting solutions in real world scenarios along the track and into a tunnel powered by the full range of RITE-POWER battery generators.

The Shed tour is an opportunity for all rail enthusiasts to take a guided tour around the Nene Valley Railway heritage site to look at restoration work, heritage stock and the signal box which was built in 1907 – one of the largest preserved signal boxes in its original location.

Please note that this tour is run by volunteers from Nene Valley Railway and participants will be asked for a small discretionary donation towards NVR’s “back on track appeal”.

We would encourage you to sign up early for this tour as only small numbers of participants can tour at once.

The technical talks being held throughout the Ticket to Innovate event are an opportunity for attendees to listen to presentations from event exhibitors and other industry professionals discussing issues and problems people are experiencing on the rail network and innovation ideas & concepts to solve these problems. Technical talks will be on a rolling schedule held in the on-site conservatory area next to the café.

Yes there will be free Wi-fi available on site for you to login to. We will also be providing on train meeting / catch up areas for you to catch up on calls or emails whilst you have a cuppa!

WHERE TO STAY

We appreciate that some attendees may be travelling to Nene Valley from some distance. If you are wishing to stay over after the event here are a couple of hotels close to the venue.

Sign up for exclusive guided tours at Ticket to Innovate 2024

We are pleased to be able to offer attendees two guided tours during the Ticket to Innovate event.

  1. Real-World Product Demonstration Tunnel Tour
    Walk the track and see products in action, including a visit to the Nene Valley tunnel where Ritelite’s LED rail lighting and power solutions will be on display in a real-world scenario.
  2. Nene Valley Railway Heritage Tour
    Join a Nene Valley volunteer for a journey through rail history, featuring a visit to the repair workshops and the signal box, built in 1907 and one of the largest preserved in its original location.

Please complete the form to reserve your place on either one or both of these options during the event.

Please note that the Railway Heritage Tour is run by Nene Valley volunteers and we would like to ask all attendees taking this option to make a small donation to the Nene Valley back on track appeal at the end of their tour.
